The Maize Experience

Wondering what a visit to The MAiZE might entail? Or more accurately, if you fit the profile of a typical maze-goer? Well, let's take a look at what and who you might see when coming to challenge our puzzling labyrinth...by daylight or moonlight. We hope it's as obvious to you as it is to us why the many different ways to experience the maze offer something for everyone!

Now we know that our unusual use of a cornfield inevitably conjures up memories of the movie "Field of Dreams", but we had no idea that some of our visitors would come playing the part of Shoeless Joe Jackson! These barefoot teenagers are among thousands of junior high, high school and college students who've had no trouble finding and creating adventure at The MAiZE.

Our unique brand of good farmin' fun has an appeal that is perhaps most obvious to families. The perfect activity for kids, parents and grandparents, some of our favorite memories are of watching the bonding moments that take place as families work together to navigate their way to the exit. Believe it or not, it's the kids who usually take the prize for the best sense of direction!

visit5.jpg (44602 bytes)Since all of our mazes are seasonal and typically operate during the fall months of September and October, we are a natural choice for a Halloween destination. A visit to The MAiZE during the last two weeks of October may give you the chance to pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home, to bring your little ones for our trick-or-treat Saturdays, or to encounter the haunting spooks in the rustling stalks of corn (rumor has it there may even be a gorilla wandering the shadowy paths at night!)

Not everyone you encounter inside the maze will be lost. Because it's our goal to make sure that your journey is as easy or as hard as you want it to be, we've equipped each maze with "Corn Cops." These trained employees will not only ensure that rules are followed, but are happy to provide a helping hand and point you in the right direction if asked.

visit7.jpg (53611 bytes)The bottom line is that there is no typical maze-goer. Of the nearly two million who've wandered our twists and turns in the past seven years, we've seen all shapes and sizes! Regardless of who you are and which way you choose to enjoy the maze ... we have no doubt that you'll leave having found what you came looking for (with the possible exception of the exit - we can't make any promises there!)
